पुत्रे जाते पिता दद्द्याच्छ्रीमात्रे तु बलिं सदा । पलानि विंशतिः सर्प्पिर्गुडः पंचप लानि च

Transliteration

putre jāte pitā daddyācchrīmātre tu baliṃ sadā | palāni viṃśatiḥ sarppirguḍaḥ paṃcapa lāni ca

Translation

Apabila seorang putera lahir, si bapa hendaklah sentiasa mempersembahkan bali (persembahan suci) kepada Śrīmātṛ. Persembahan itu hendaklah mengandungi dua puluh pala ghee dan lima pala gula melaka (jaggery) juga.
