Tirtha: Tīrtha-traya (three renowned tīrthas)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Asura-śreṣṭha (best among Asuras)
Scene: A tripartite cosmic tableau: Pātāla below, Svarga above, Yama’s realm to the side; in the center, three radiant tīrtha-emblems (river confluence/ghat/temple) sending streams of light to Pitṛs receiving offerings.
Merit connected to pitṛ-satisfaction is cosmic in reach—recognized across multiple realms, not merely on earth.
The verse refers back to the previously praised tīrthas (Gayā/Prayāga/Dvārakā and allied spots) as being universally renowned.
Implied pitṛ rites (piṇḍa/tarpaṇa) as the means to generate pitṛ-tṛpti.
