Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 33

पक्वान्नैर्मोदकाद्यैश्च तर्पयेद्भक्तिभावतः । तर्प्यमाणे द्विजैकस्मिन्सहस्रफलमश्नुते

pakvānnairmodakādyaiśca tarpayedbhaktibhāvataḥ | tarpyamāṇe dvijaikasminsahasraphalamaśnute

Dengan makanan yang telah dimasak, modaka dan seumpamanya, hendaklah mereka dipuaskan dengan rasa bhakti. Apabila seorang brāhmaṇa sahaja pun berpuas hati demikian, diperoleh ganjaran seribu kali ganda.
