Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 32

महापातकसंघातैर्मुच्यते चोपपातकैः । देहांते शिवमाप्नोति शिववर्मानुभावतः

mahāpātakasaṃghātairmucyate copapātakaiḥ | dehāṃte śivamāpnoti śivavarmānubhāvataḥ

Dengan kekuatan Shiva-varma (baju zirah pelindung Shiva), seseorang dibebaskan daripada himpunan dosa besar mahupun dosa kecil; dan pada akhir hayatnya, dia mencapai Shiva.
