Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 85

स्वदारनिरतैः शान्तैः परदारविवर्जकैः । वेदाभ्यसनशीलैश्च स्वकर्मनिरतैः शुभैः

svadāranirataiḥ śāntaiḥ paradāravivarjakaiḥ | vedābhyasanaśīlaiśca svakarmanirataiḥ śubhaiḥ

(Śrāddha hendaklah dilakukan) bersama brāhmaṇa yang setia kepada isteri yang sah, berperangai tenang, menjauhi isteri orang, tekun mengaji Veda, dan teguh dalam kewajipan dharma sendiri—orang yang mulia.
