Transliteration

jāyatī yugasāhasraṃ nānyā kācidbhavedṛśī | ṛṣiścāyaṃ mahābhāgo mārkaṇḍo dhīmatāṃ varaḥ

Translation

Dia bertahan selama seribu yuga—tiada yang lain seumpamanya. Dan resi yang amat bertuah ini, Mārkaṇḍeya, ialah yang terunggul dalam kalangan orang bijaksana.
