Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 6

पूजयेद्गोहिरण्येन वस्त्रोपानहभोजनैः । छत्रशय्याप्रदानेन सर्वपापक्षयो भवेत्

pūjayedgohiraṇyena vastropānahabhojanaiḥ | chatraśayyāpradānena sarvapāpakṣayo bhavet

Hendaklah beribadah dengan mempersembahkan lembu dan emas, serta pakaian, alas kaki dan makanan. Dengan menghadiahkan payung dan tempat tidur sebagai sedekah, lenyaplah segala dosa dengan sempurna.
