ततः पितुर्मतेनैव गङ्गातीरं गता सती । अवगाह्य तटे द्वे तु गङ्गायाः स नराधिप

Transliteration

tataḥ piturmatenaiva gaṅgātīraṃ gatā satī | avagāhya taṭe dve tu gaṅgāyāḥ sa narādhipa

Translation

Kemudian, semata-mata menurut nasihat ayahandanya, wanita suci itu pergi ke tebing Sungai Gaṅgā. Setelah melakukan avaghāha (mandi penyucian) di sana, wahai raja di antara manusia, dia tinggal di kedua-dua tebing Gaṅgā.
