Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 10
अवध्यो दानवः पापः सर्वेषां वो दिवौकसाम् । स त्राता सर्वजगतां नान्यो विद्येत कुत्रचित्
avadhyo dānavaḥ pāpaḥ sarveṣāṃ vo divaukasām | sa trātā sarvajagatāṃ nānyo vidyeta kutracit
(Brahmā bersabda:) “Dānava yang berdosa itu tidak dapat dibunuh oleh kamu semua, para penghuni syurga. Dialah satu-satunya pelindung segala alam; tiada yang lain dapat ditemui di mana-mana.”
