तत्र देवाधिदेवस्य समुद्रे लिङ्गमुत्थितम् । लिङ्गोद्भूता महाभागा नर्मदा सरितां वरा
tatra devādhidevasya samudre liṅgamutthitam | liṅgodbhūtā mahābhāgā narmadā saritāṃ varā
Di sana, di lautan, terbitlah liṅga milik Dewa segala dewa. Daripada liṅga itu lahirlah Narmadā yang amat bertuah—yang terbaik antara segala sungai.
