विलक्षा व्रीडिता देवा गत्वा नारायणं तदा । अब्रुवन् वैश्वरूपं नो शक्ता दर्शयितुं वयम्
vilakṣā vrīḍitā devā gatvā nārāyaṇaṃ tadā | abruvan vaiśvarūpaṃ no śaktā darśayituṃ vayam
Dalam kebingungan dan rasa malu, para dewa pun pergi menghadap Nārāyaṇa lalu berkata, “Wahai Tuhan, kami tidak berdaya untuk memperlihatkan Vaiśvarūpa, yakni Wujud Semesta.”
Mārkaṇḍeya (continuing narration)
