Type: tirtha
Scene: The gods arrive in assumed forms; Lakṣmī questions them and demands immediate revelation of the Vaiṣṇava Viśvarūpa—cosmic body containing worlds, gods, directions, and time—set against the ocean horizon.
True tapas culminates in a longing for direct darśana of the Divine, not merely worldly boons.
The Revākhaṇḍa setting frames the episode; the sanctity lies in the tapas-ground near the ocean boundary where divine vision is sought.
No explicit ritual is prescribed; the verse emphasizes seeking darśana as the fruit of austerity.
