vaktavyaśca sahasrākṣo nāsmākaṃ bhogakāraṇāt | tapaścaryā na vāprāpyaphalaṃ prāptumabhīpsatā

Translation

Hendaklah Sahasrākṣa (Indra) diberitahu: ini bukan kerana kenikmatan kami, dan bukan pula kerana hasrat memperoleh buah yang belum tercapai melalui tapa dan amalan suci.
