Tirtha: Revā-tīrtha (specific ford unnamed in the verse)
Type: ghat
Scene: A pilgrim at a river ford performs snāna, then offers bilva leaves and water to a Śiva-liṅga under riverside trees; the river glows as a purifying presence while attendants hold pūjā vessels.
Sincere purification (snāna) joined with devotion to Śiva functions as prāyaścitta, restoring one to dharmic purity.
“That tīrtha” within Revākhaṇḍa’s Revā/Narmadā sacred geography—an identified ford praised for powerful purification.
Bathe at the tīrtha and worship Parameśvara (Śiva) to obtain release from pātakas, including the sin of adultery.
