Transliteration

ṛṣibhirdaśakoṭibhirnarmadātīravāsibhiḥ | vibhakteyaṃ vibhaktāṅgī narmadā śarmadā nṛṇām

Translation

Sepuluh krore ṛṣi yang mendiami tebing Narmadā telah membahagi dan menetapkan Narmadā ini—yang anggota-angganya terbahagi menurut dharma; Narmadā ialah pemberi kesejahteraan kepada manusia.
