Narrator (contextual Purāṇic speaker within Revā Khaṇḍa; traditionally Sūta/Lomaharṣaṇa relaying the māhātmya)
Tirtha: Revā-khaṇḍa tīrthas (general)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A learned brāhmaṇa stands before multiple deity shrines, yet a luminous syllabic garland ‘oṃ-na-maḥ-śi-vā-ya’ rises above, indicating superior fruit from the six-syllabled utterance.
The Purāṇa exalts the ṣaḍakṣara as a supreme, concentrated means of merit and spiritual attainment.
The emphasis is on mantra-mahātmya within the Revā Khaṇḍa context rather than on a single named pilgrimage site.
Udīraṇa (recitation/utterance) of the ṣaḍakṣara mantra, contextually ‘Oṃ namaḥ śivāya’.
