FAQs

It teaches that devotion becomes inwardly steady through disciplined ritual: purification by consecrated water and mantra-japa (108) culminates in reverently offering one’s hand—symbolizing surrender—at the summit of the liṅga, the emblem of Pati (Śiva) who grants grace and liberation.

The liṅga is approached as Saguna Śiva for worship—through water, mantra, flowers, and kuśa—so the devotee’s mind can concentrate on Śiva’s presence; this focused practice supports realization of Śiva as the supreme Lord beyond bonds (Pāśa) in Shaiva Siddhanta.

Perform prokṣaṇa (sprinkling with sanctified water) while repeating the mūla-mantra 108 times, then offer flowers and kuśa with a steady hand placed on the top of the liṅga—combining japa, purification, and respectful upacāra in Linga pūjā.
