Kemudian, setelah upacara suci yang membawa tuah (puṇyāha) dilaksanakan dan Śaṅkara dipuja sekali lagi, sang guru hendaklah berdoa kepada Tuhan, dengan hasrat agar rahmat-Nya tercurah demi kebaikan para murid.

It emphasizes that Śiva’s anugraha (grace) is the decisive factor in spiritual uplift: even the teacher approaches Śaṅkara with humility, praying that the disciples receive divine favor that loosens pāśa (bondage) and turns the soul toward liberation.
The sequence—puṇyāha, then renewed worship of Śaṅkara, then prayer—reflects Saguna upāsanā (devotional worship of Śiva with form, commonly as the Liṅga). Through proper pūjā, the mind is made fit to seek Śiva’s grace for the aspirants.
It points to a preparatory auspicious rite (puṇyāha) followed by Śiva-pūjā and guru-led prayer for śiṣyānugraha; in practice this is commonly paired with japa of the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and a disciplined, sattvic worship setting.
