It teaches that Shaiva worship is not only inner contemplation but also orderly, auspicious communal devotion—celebration (song, music, dance) joined with right conduct and reverent honoring of devotees, which supports sattva and devotion toward Pati (Shiva).
In Saguna/Linga worship, devotion is expressed through prescribed upacāras and auspicious acts; this verse frames kīrtana-like offerings (gīta-vādya-nṛtya) and respectful hospitality to the assembly as part of the proper ritual environment surrounding Linga-pūjā.
Follow samyag-vidhi (proper procedure) in Shiva-pūjā: include devotional singing and instruments, maintain auspicious observances, and honor fellow participants; as a practical takeaway, integrate mantra-japa (e.g., Panchakshara) alongside these outward offerings.
