It declares Shiva as Parameśvara—the ultimate Pati—who performs creation, preservation, and dissolution through functional aspects (Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Rudra), while remaining the inner Self and supreme governor of all.

A practical takeaway is to meditate on Shiva as the indwelling Self (ātma) while japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offering worship to the liṅga with the insight that all powers of the guṇas are governed by Him.
