It shows that even the highest cosmic authorities (Indra and the Lokapalas) approach the divine narrative/event with humility, reverence, and celebratory devotion—affirming Shiva as the supreme center of auspiciousness and order.
Their adorned, festive arrival reflects Saguna-upasana—approaching Shiva through visible forms, sacred gatherings, and auspicious ceremonies, which in the Purana tradition commonly culminate in reverence to Shiva’s manifest presence (often through Linga worship and ritual honor).
Adopt an “utsava-bhava” in worship—perform Shiva puja with cleanliness and adornment of the shrine, chant the Panchakshara (Om Namah Shivaya), and offer respectful attendance (seva) as one would in a sacred festival.
