कुमाराद्भुतचरितवर्णनम् — Description of Kumāra’s Wondrous Deeds
मुहूर्तमात्रतस्सोऽजो ब्रह्मांडं सकलं मुने । बभ्राम श्रम एवाशु पुनस्तत्स्थानमागतः
muhūrtamātratasso'jo brahmāṃḍaṃ sakalaṃ mune | babhrāma śrama evāśu punastatsthānamāgataḥ
Wahai resi, Yang Tidak Dilahirkan (Aja) mengembara seluruh brahmāṇḍa, telur kosmik itu, hanya selama satu muhūrta; namun segera letih, lalu kembali ke tempat asalnya.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Cosmic Event: brahmāṇḍa-vicāra (cosmic roaming within the ‘egg’), implying limitation of created intellect before the infinite
It highlights the limitation of the created order: even Brahmā, though “unborn” as a cosmic function, becomes fatigued within the brahmāṇḍa—implying that true refuge and transcendence lie beyond creation, in Śiva as Pati, who is not constrained by māyā or cosmic boundaries.
By showing that roaming the universe yields only exhaustion, the verse implicitly points the seeker toward a stable, accessible focus of grace—Saguna Śiva worship, especially the Śiva-liṅga, which represents the doorway to the transcendental reality beyond the brahmāṇḍa.
A practical takeaway is steadiness over wandering: daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” supported by Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa, to turn the mind from outer roaming toward inner surrender to Śiva.
