कथा महे रुद्रियाय ब्रवाम कद्राये चिकितुषे भगाय । आप ओषधीरुत नोऽवन्तु द्यौर्वना गिरयो वृक्षकेशाः ॥

kathā mahé rudriyā́ya bravāma kadrā́ye cikitúṣe bhágāya | ā́pa óṣadhīr utá no’vantu dyáur vánā giráyo vṛkṣakéśāḥ ||

Bagaimanakah harus kami berkata kepada Yang Mahā, kepada Rudra yang berkuasa, dan kepada Bhaga si mengetahui, demi penganugerahan kenikmatan? Semoga Air-Air dan tumbuh-tumbuhan penyembuh melindungi kami; semoga Langit, rimba, dan gunung-ganang yang berambut pepohon menjaga serta menaungi perjalanan kami.
