यदासु मर्तो अमृतासु निस्पृक्सं क्षोणीभिः क्रतुभिर्न पृङ्क्ते । ता आतयो न तन्वः शुम्भत स्वा अश्वासो न क्रीळयो दन्दशानाः ॥

Transliteration

yád āsu márto amṛ́tāsu ni-spṛ́k sám kṣoṇī́bhir kratúbhir ná pṛ́ṅkte | tā́ ātáyo ná tanvàḥ śúmbhata svā́ aśvā́so ná krīḷáyo dándaśānāḥ ||

Translation

Apabila seorang fana, yang tidak tersentuh, tidak berpadu dengan para Amṛta (yang tidak mati) melalui kuasa-kuasa yang berasas dan kehendak-kehendak yang berketetapan (kratu), maka dorongan-dorongan itu tidak memperindah jasadnya; seperti kuda-kuda yang suka bermain, menggigit dan resah, ia tetap miliknya, namun tidak terharmoni.
