Indrajit–Lakshmana Battle and the Rallying of the Vanaras

nihataṃ sārathiṃ dṛṣṭvā samare rāvaṇātmajaḥ | prajahau samaroddharṣaṃ viṣaṇṇaḥ sa babhūva ha ||
Melihat sais keretanya gugur di medan perang, putera Rāvaṇa pun kehilangan semangat tempur; hatinya muram dan diliputi dukacita.
Seeing the charioteer killed, Ravana's son was despondent and lost enthusiasm to fight (said people).
It points to the human consequence of violence: even mighty warriors are shaken by loss. Dharma reflection arises in recognizing how attachment and grief can weaken resolve and judgment.
After the charioteer is killed, Indrajit’s confidence falters and his battle-spirit diminishes.
Not virtue but vulnerability: the verse foregrounds emotional collapse under sudden loss.
