लङ्कानिरीक्षणं व्यूहविन्यासश्च

नैवसम्भाषितुंशक्यास्सम्प्रश्नोऽत्रनलभ्यते ।प्रकृत्याकोपनास्तीक्ष्णानानराराक्षसाधिप ।।।।

naiva sambhāṣituṃ śakyāḥ sampraśno 'tra na labhyate |

prakṛtyā kopanās tīkṣṇā vānarā rākṣasādhipa ||

Wahai raja para Rākṣasa, di sana tidak mungkin untuk berbicara; bahkan aku tidak sempat bertanya apa-apa. Kaum Vānara memang secara tabiatnya cepat marah dan garang.
