अष्टसप्ततितमः सर्गः — Śatrughna’s Fury and Bharata’s Restraint
Mantharā Episode
Saying thus, he forcibly caught hold of the hunchback amidst her companions when she filled the house with her cries.
The verse highlights how anger can lead to coercive action; dharma calls for self-control, especially within the royal household where justice should be measured, not impulsive.
Śatrughna physically seizes Mantharā in the palace; she screams, and the disturbance spreads through the residence.
Protective zeal (though mixed with anger): Śatrughna’s readiness to confront the perceived source of injustice.
