चित्रकूटगमनम् तथा पर्णशालाप्रवेशः
Arrival at Chitrakuta and Establishing the Leaf-Hut
सौमित्रे श्रुणु वन्यानां वल्गु व्याहरतां स्वनम्।सम्प्रतिष्ठामहे काल प्रस्थानस्य परन्तप।।।।
saumitre śṛṇu vanyānāṁ valgu vyāharatāṁ svanam | sampratiṣṭhāmahe kālaḥ prasthānasya parantapa ||
Wahai Saumitri, dengarlah kicauan merdu burung-burung rimba. Wahai penunduk musuh—kini tibalah saatnya kita berangkat.
Rama arrived at that enchanting mountain full of various kinds of birds, fruits and roots, and sweet water. (And said to Lakshmana:)
Dharma here appears as disciplined readiness and purposeful action: Rama recognizes the proper time (kāla) to move forward, balancing appreciation of nature with duty-bound progress.
Rama addresses Lakshmana during their forest journey, drawing attention to the forest’s sounds and indicating that it is time to depart.
