लवणं वर्जयेन्माघे फाल्गुने च गुडं पुनः । नवनीतं तथा चैत्रे वर्ज्यं मधु च माधवे

lavaṇaṃ varjayenmāghe phālgune ca guḍaṃ punaḥ | navanītaṃ tathā caitre varjyaṃ madhu ca mādhave

Pada bulan Māgha hendaklah menghindari garam; pada Phālguna, gula melaka/jaggery. Demikian juga pada Caitra, elakkan mentega; dan pada Mādhava (Vaiśākha), elakkan madu.
