The Greatness of Haridvāra
Gaṅgādvāra-māhātmya
प्राणांस्तत्याज तन्वंगी तज्जातं क्षेत्रमुत्तम् । तस्मिंस्तीर्थे तु ये स्नात्वा तर्पयंति सुरान्पितॄन् ॥ १३ ॥
prāṇāṃstatyāja tanvaṃgī tajjātaṃ kṣetramuttam | tasmiṃstīrthe tu ye snātvā tarpayaṃti surānpitṝn || 13 ||
Wanita yang elok anggota tubuhnya itu melepaskan nyawanya; dan daripada peristiwa itu lahirlah suatu kawasan suci yang unggul. Sesiapa yang mandi di tīrtha itu dan mempersembahkan tarpaṇa kepada para dewa serta leluhur akan memperoleh pahala yang sempurna.
