The Exposition of the Nityā-paṭala
प्राणांस्तस्य ग्रसंत्येव कुपितास्तत्क्षणान्मुने । अनया विद्यया लोके यदसाध्यं न तत्क्वचित् ॥ १६४ ॥
prāṇāṃstasya grasaṃtyeva kupitāstatkṣaṇānmune | anayā vidyayā loke yadasādhyaṃ na tatkvacit || 164 ||
Wahai muni, dalam kemarahan mereka serta-merta menelan nafas-hayatnya pada saat itu juga. Dengan vidyā ini di dunia, tiada sesuatu pun di mana-mana yang kekal mustahil untuk dicapai.

It stresses the potency of vidyā (sacred/technical knowledge) as an operative power: when rightly deployed it can instantly alter outcomes—even to the point of taking away prāṇa—showing that knowledge is not merely theoretical but causally effective.
Indirectly, it cautions that extraordinary powers can arise through vidyā, but in the Purāṇic framework such powers are meant to be governed by dharma and ultimately subordinated to higher spiritual aims—classically fulfilled through devotion and surrender rather than mere display of siddhi.
The verse points to applied vidyā/mantra-prayoga—knowledge used as a technique with immediate results—aligning with the Narada Purana’s Third Pada emphasis on technical disciplines and their real-world efficacy.
