The Exposition of the Krishna Mantra (Kṛṣṇa-mantra-prakāśa): Nyāsa, Dhyāna, Worship, Yantra, and Prayoga
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bibhatsa
The verse emphasizes ritual purity (śauca) and disciplined restraint (niyama) by listing items and conditions treated as restricted during a specific observance, reinforcing steadiness of mind and correctness of rite.
While not directly teaching bhakti doctrine, it supports devotion through regulated living: careful observance of rules removes distractions and helps a practitioner maintain focus and reverence during worship and vows.
It reflects practical dharma-application aligned with kalpa-style ritual procedure—how to manage permissible and restricted foods/contacts during an observance to preserve ritual fitness.
