The Account of Hanumān
Suta (narrating the scene within the dialogue tradition of Narada Purana)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches dharmic humility and reverence: even the devas and sages acknowledge Maheshvara’s supremacy in that assembly by taking lower seats, showing that spiritual authority is honored through conduct.
Bhakti is expressed not only through prayer but also through respectful behavior—recognizing the Lord’s exalted position and approaching sacred instruction with humility and discipline.
It reflects śiṣṭācāra (cultured protocol) essential for Vedic learning environments—proper decorum in assemblies where sacred teaching is transmitted, supporting disciplined study and listening (śravaṇa).
