Procedure for Lamp-Offering to Hanumān
तत्र मालाख्यमनुना तत्तत्कार्येषु कारयेत् । गोमयेनोपलिप्तायां भूमौ तद्गतमानसः ॥ ४७ ॥
tatra mālākhyamanunā tattatkāryeṣu kārayet | gomayenopaliptāyāṃ bhūmau tadgatamānasaḥ || 47 ||
Di sana, hendaklah dilaksanakan setiap upacara yang berkenaan dengan mantra yang dikenali sebagai “Mālā”. Dengan duduk di atas tanah yang disapu tahi lembu, hendaklah ia menumpukan minda sepenuhnya pada upacara itu dan pada dewa yang dipuja.

It teaches that mantra-ritual efficacy depends on both outer purity (a properly prepared, purified space) and inner purity (a mind firmly concentrated on the rite and its intended divine focus).
By insisting on tad-gata-mānasaḥ—keeping the mind fixed on the object of worship—it frames devotion as sustained, undistracted remembrance during ritual action, not merely external performance.
It reflects practical ritual discipline aligned with Vedanga concerns: correct mantra application and procedural purity (shauca), including preparing the ritual ground (bhūmi) by plastering with gomaya as a traditional purificatory method.
