Dīpa-vidhi-vyākhyānam

Procedure for Lamp-Offering to Hanumān

पथिकागमने प्रोक्तं गोधूमोत्थं सतंडुलम् । मोहने त्वाढकीजात विद्वेषे च कुलत्थजम् ॥ १० ॥

pathikāgamane proktaṃ godhūmotthaṃ sataṃḍulam | mohane tvāḍhakījāta vidveṣe ca kulatthajam || 10 ||

Bagi upacara untuk memanggil seorang musafir agar segera hadir, ditetapkan supaya digunakan butir beras yang disediakan daripada gandum. Bagi upacara menimbulkan khayal/terpesona, gunakan bijian yang berasal daripada āḍhakī; dan bagi upacara membangkitkan permusuhan, gunakan bijian yang berasal daripada kulattha.
