The Description of the Worship of Rāma and Others
Rāmādi-pūjā-vidhāna
त्रिमासं विजिताहारो नित्यं सप्तसहस्रकम् । अष्टोत्तरशतैः पुष्पैर्निश्छेद्रैः शातपत्रकैः ॥ १५९ ॥
trimāsaṃ vijitāhāro nityaṃ saptasahasrakam | aṣṭottaraśataiḥ puṣpairniśchedraiḥ śātapatrakaiḥ || 159 ||
Selama tiga bulan, setelah menundukkan (mengawal) pemakanan, hendaklah setiap hari melakukan japa sebanyak tujuh ribu kali, serta mempersembahkan seratus lapan bunga teratai—tidak ditebuk dan berkelopak seratus.
Narada (teaching in a vrata/japa-vidhi context, traditionally within the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue frame)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It links inner discipline (regulated food for three months) with steady daily sadhana (a fixed japa count) and precise ritual offering (108 lotuses), showing that purity, consistency, and correct upachara together strengthen spiritual practice.
Bhakti is expressed here as sustained daily worship: repeated recitation (japa) and offering pure lotuses as loving service, supported by self-control (vijitāhāra) so devotion becomes stable rather than occasional.
It reflects kalpa-style ritual precision: fixed counts (7,000 japa; 108 offerings) and material specifications (unpierced, hundred-petaled lotuses), illustrating how vrata and pūjā procedures are codified and executed.
