Worship Procedure and Mantra-Siddhi of Hayagrīva
Narada (in dialogue context with Sanatkumara tradition; verse states ritual fruit of homa)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches the phala (result) doctrine of Vedic rites: properly performed homa is not merely symbolic, but is presented as a dharmic means for securing prosperity and sustenance (śrī and dhānya) for household life.
While the verse is primarily ritual-technical, it aligns with bhakti in practice by directing offerings into sacred fire as an act of reverent worship; prosperity is framed as a consequence of disciplined, faith-filled ritual action rather than mere acquisition.
It highlights ritual application (yajña/homa procedure) and precise material prescriptions—what to offer (grains and śatapuṣpā-derived seeds) and the count (sahasrataḥ)—reflecting the technical, rule-based orientation associated with Vedāṅga-linked ritual practice.
