Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in the Vedanga/ritual-technical context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes mindful (susamāhita) performance of fire-offerings and identifies a sacred class of latex-bearing fig trees (kṣīridrumas), which are traditionally auspicious and ritually important in Vedic practice.
While primarily ritual-technical, it supports bhakti through disciplined, attentive worship—offering pure substances (milk, rice, ghee) with concentration, which purifies intention and aligns action with reverence for the sacred.
Ritual procedure and technical classification: it specifies standard homa oblations and gives a traditional taxonomy of trees (kṣīridrumas), useful for selecting proper materials in rites connected with Kalpa (ritual practice).
