क्रांत्योर्जेत्रिज्ययाभिस्ते परमायक्रमोद्धते । तच्चापांतर्मर्द्धवायोर्ज्यभाविनशीतगौ ॥ १७९ ॥

Dengan ukuran yang terbit daripada kord dan sinus bagi kecondongan solstis, seseorang memperoleh kaedah pengiraan yang paling luhur dan terangkat. Daripadanya, dengan mengolah di dalam lengkok—melalui daya “angin batin” (kuasa operasi dalam hisab)—sinus yang terhasil menzahirkan sejuk dan panas, yakni kesan musim.
