FAQs

It teaches that devotion is expressed through disciplined worship (vidhi): preparing arghya with sanctifying items and offering it reverently at the deity’s feet while reciting mantra, aligning outer action with inner reverence.

Bhakti here is not merely emotion but respectful service (upacāra) performed correctly—offering arghya with mantra at the feet symbolizes surrender and honoring the deity as the supreme refuge.

It reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure) through the emphasis on vidhānataḥ (doing it by injunction) and the correct use of ritual materials (flowers, akṣata, sesame) along with mantra-recitation.
