It teaches that merit (puṇya) is strengthened through prescribed charity—especially go-dāna—and through reverent honoring of the ācārya, acknowledging the guru as the living conduit of dharma and sacred knowledge.
By directing offerings toward the guru and sacred gifts, it frames devotion as humble service (sevā) expressed through respectful giving, which supports disciplined worship and dharmic living that nourish Viṣṇu-bhakti in practice.
It reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure) in the form of dāna-vidhi and guru-pūjā—practical rules of conduct for offerings and honoring the officiating teacher within a rite.
