Matsya Purana — Description of the Akṣaya Tṛtīyā Observance, Shloka 3

सा तथा कृत्तिकोपेता विशेषेण सुपूजिता तत्र दत्तं हुतं जप्तं सर्वमक्षयमुच्यते //

sā tathā kṛttikopetā viśeṣeṇa supūjitā tatra dattaṃ hutaṃ japtaṃ sarvamakṣayamucyate //

Demikian juga, apabila (waktu/amal suci itu) berserta rasi bintang Kṛttikā dan dipuja dengan penghormatan khusus, maka apa sahaja yang didermakan, dipersembahkan ke dalam api, atau diulang sebagai japa di situ dikatakan menjadi tidak binasa (aksaya).
