Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)
राजानं राजपुत्रं वा संवर्णयति य: सदा | अमात्य: पण्डितो भूत्वा स चिरं तिष्ठते प्रिय:,जो बुद्धिमान सचिव सदा राजा अथवा राजकुमारकी प्रशंसा करता रहता है, वही राजाके यहाँ उसका प्रीतिपात्र होकर दीर्घकालतक टिक सकता है
rājānaṃ rājaputraṃ vā saṃvarṇayati yaḥ sadā | amātyaḥ paṇḍito bhūtvā sa ciraṃ tiṣṭhate priyaḥ ||
Dhaumya berkata: “Menteri yang bijaksana, yang sentiasa menuturkan pujian kepada raja—atau putera raja—akan dipandang sebagai orang pandai; dan kerana kekal dikasihi pemerintah, dia mampu bertahan serta memegang kedudukannya untuk waktu yang lama.”
