Pāśupata-vrata Māhātmya: Dvādaśa-Liṅga Mahāvrata, Month-wise Dravya, and Pūjā-krama

विद्यार्थी लभते विद्यां भोगार्थी भोगमाप्नुयात् द्रव्यार्थी च निधिं पश्येद् आयुःकामश् चिरायुषम्

vidyārthī labhate vidyāṃ bhogārthī bhogamāpnuyāt dravyārthī ca nidhiṃ paśyed āyuḥkāmaś cirāyuṣam

Pencari ilmu memperoleh ilmu; pencari kenikmatan meraih kenikmatan. Pencari harta melihat khazanah, dan yang mendambakan umur panjang memperoleh usia yang panjang—demikianlah buah yang dianugerahkan melalui bhakti kepada Tuhan (Pati) yang menzahir sebagai Liṅga, ketika paśu (jiwa terikat) berpaling dari pāśa (belenggu) menuju rahmat Śiva.
