रिपोराधत्त बृहती चक्षुषं सर्वतेजसम् / सो ऽजीजनत् पुष्करिण्यां वैरण्यां चाक्षुषं मनुम् / प्रजापतेरात्मजायां वीरणस्य महात्मनः
riporādhatta bṛhatī cakṣuṣaṃ sarvatejasam / so 'jījanat puṣkariṇyāṃ vairaṇyāṃ cākṣuṣaṃ manum / prajāpaterātmajāyāṃ vīraṇasya mahātmanaḥ
Daripada Ripu, Bṛhatī melahirkan Cākṣuṣa, yang memiliki sinar keagungan menyeluruh. Dia pula memperanakkan Cākṣuṣa Manu pada Puṣkariṇī—iaitu Vairaṇyā, puteri Prajāpati—yang lahir daripada Vīraṇa yang berhati agung.

This verse is genealogical rather than metaphysical; it frames cosmic order (dharma) through the Manu lineage, within which later teachings on Ātman and liberation are situated in the Purāṇa.
No specific yoga practice is taught in this verse; it establishes the Manvantara framework that later supports dharma, vrata, and (in the Upari-bhāga) Pāśupata-oriented yogic instruction.
It does not directly address Śiva–Viṣṇu unity; it contributes to the shared Purāṇic cosmology in which both traditions locate their teachings—later chapters articulate the synthesis more explicitly.
