Arjuna’s Lament, the End of the Yadus, and the Pāṇḍavas’ Departure
शोकेन शुष्यद्वदनहृत्सरोजो हतप्रभ: । विभुं तमेवानुस्मरन्नाशक्नोत्प्रतिभाषितुम् ॥ २ ॥
śokena śuṣyad-vadana- hṛt-sarojo hata-prabhaḥ vibhuṁ tam evānusmaran nāśaknot pratibhāṣitum
Kerana dukacita, mulut Arjuna dan hati laksana teratai menjadi kering, dan seri tubuhnya pun pudar. Sambil mengingati Tuhan Yang Mahaagung, dia hampir tidak mampu mengucapkan sepatah kata sebagai jawapan.
This verse shows that separation can become so intense that a devotee’s strength and composure fade, and only remembrance of the Lord remains—so powerful that speech itself fails.
Because grief had overtaken him after Krishna’s departure; absorbed in remembering the Supreme Lord, his radiance faded and he could not reply.
When loss or anxiety arises, repeatedly return the mind to sincere remembrance of God; it may not remove emotions instantly, but it anchors the heart in what is eternal.
