Sukta 5
एवा त्वं देव्यघ्न्ये ब्रह्मज्यस्य कृतागसो देवपीयोरराधसः
evá tváṃ dévy aghnye brahmajyásya kṛtā́gaso devapīyór arā́dhasaḥ
Even so, O Goddess, O inviolate One, upon the Brahman-slayer—upon him that hath wrought sin, the profaner of the gods’ due, the unprosperous in worship—(do thou execute this).
Rishi: Atharvanic/Angiras-type attribution (sūkta-level; traditional lists vary)
Devata: Devī (Aghnyā as inviolable punitive power); implicitly Vajra/weapon-force in the sequence
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh-like cadence (as transmitted; some editions treat the sequence as mixed/irregular)
{"primary_rasa":"raudra","secondary_rasa":"bhayankara","emotional_arc":"Indictment → consignment to punishment; a tightening spiral toward violence.","listener_experience":"A courtroom-to-execution shift: moral certainty, severity, and dread.","intensity":8}
