FAQs

It gives Jyotiṣa rules for judging planetary beneficence by placement—stating favorable houses/sign-positions for Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus.

Alongside ritual, dharma, and arts, the Agni Purana includes applied sciences like predictive astrology; this verse is a compact technical rule-set for interpreting graha placements.

In Purāṇic practice, correct astrological assessment supports dharmic timing (muhūrta) and life-decisions, aiming to align actions with benefic planetary influences and reduce adverse karmic outcomes.
