It prescribes the valid ritual settings (maṇḍala or sthaṇḍila) and the required components of Śiva-worship, including tarpaṇa and pūjana, and specifies mantra-accompanied libations in the fire culminating in the concluding full oblation (pūrṇāhuti).
It functions as a compact ritual manual entry, detailing altar-contexts and procedural steps (Śiva-arcana, tarpaṇa, fire-offerings, and pūrṇāhuti), illustrating how the Agni Purana catalogues practical liturgical technique alongside theology.
By completing Śiva-worship with proper tarpaṇa, pūjana, and a correctly concluded fire-rite (ending in pūrṇāhuti), the practitioner is understood to gain purification, ritual completeness (sampūrṇatā), and the merit associated with correctly performed mantra-based worship.
