Alamkara Type: Rupaka
Weapon Type: Astra (mantric weapon principle)
Concept: Consciousness can be ritually ‘kindled’ within: protective/clearing force (astra) precedes luminous recognition (tārakā-caitanya).
Application: In meditation, use a brief protective mantra-act, then stabilize a clear luminous inner sign (star-like awareness) as the focus.
Khanda Section: Agneya-vidya (Mantra–Yantra–Tantra: internal visualization and ritual application)

Related Themes: Agni Purana 82 (subsequent bīja/nyāsa with breath control)
It teaches a tantric procedure: using a flower charged with the Astra-mantra to ritually ‘tap/strike’ the heart-center and then visualize an awakened, star-like consciousness (caitanya) manifesting there.
Beyond mythic narration, the Agni Purana preserves practical sādhanā-instructions—mantra application, internal visualization (bhāvanā), and subtle-body technique—showing its coverage of ritual technology alongside other sciences.
The act symbolizes awakening and purifying the inner center: the Astra-mantra ‘cuts through’ dullness/obstructions, while star-like caitanya-bhāvanā stabilizes luminous awareness, supporting inner purification and focused spiritual attainment.
